Kent completed his schooling at the University of Manitoba, and currently works for the Southern First Nations Child and Family Services Authority, as the Director of Human Resources.

    Dejan had 272 amateur boxing matches and was the junior light heavyweight champion of Yugoslavia in 1960 and 1961. He qualified for 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, but injured a knee in the ring just before and was unable to go, this injury also ended his boxing career. It was not until 1998 that spark his interest in coaching as his son Aleks started to show interest in the family sport.
